Author Guidelines for Manuscript Submission to MSARR

Magna Scientia Advanced Research and Review (MSARR) welcomes original, high-quality manuscripts from researchers, academicians, and professionals across a wide range of disciplines. These author guidelines are intended to help contributors prepare their papers in accordance with the journal’s editorial standards, ethical requirements, and publication procedures.

Authors are advised to read these instructions carefully before submission to support smooth editorial processing, efficient peer review, and timely publication.

Aim and Scope

MSARR is an international, peer-reviewed, open access multidisciplinary journal that publishes significant and original scholarly work in diverse areas of research. The journal accepts both experimental and theoretical studies from fields such as biological sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, medical sciences, nursing and health sciences, agriculture, environmental sciences, engineering, technology, computer science, management, commerce, social sciences, humanities, education, public health, and interdisciplinary research.

Manuscripts submitted to MSARR must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal or publication platform. All submissions are evaluated through peer review, and accepted papers are published online after completion of the editorial process.

There is no fee for manuscript submission. Article Processing Charges (APC) are payable only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Types of Manuscripts Accepted

MSARR considers the following categories of submissions:

• Original Research Articles
• Review Articles
• Short Communications
• Case Studies
• Letters to the Editor

Recommended Length

To maintain clarity and readability, authors are encouraged to present their work concisely.

• Research Articles and Review Articles: up to 20 pages, including references, tables, and figures
• Short Communications: up to 10 pages, with a maximum of 5 tables and/or figures
• Case Studies: up to 10 pages, with a maximum of 5 tables and/or figures
• Letters to the Editor: 2 to 3 pages, with up to 10 references

Manuscripts should generally use 12 pt font size and 1.5 line spacing.

General Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts must be prepared in a clear and consistent format using the following specifications:

• Paper size: A4
• Margins: 1 inch on all sides
• Font: Times New Roman
• Font size: 12 pt
• Line spacing: 1.5
• Text alignment: Justified
• Page numbering: Bottom right
• Line numbering: Continuous throughout the manuscript
• File format: Microsoft Word

Manuscript Organization

1. Title Page

The title page should include the following information:

• A concise and informative title in sentence case
• Full names of all authors
• Institutional affiliations with full address and country
• Superscripts to link authors with their affiliations where needed
• Identification of the corresponding author with an asterisk (*)
• Complete correspondence details, including email address
• Email addresses of all co-authors

2. Abstract and Keywords

Each manuscript must include an abstract of up to 250 words. The abstract should briefly present the purpose of the study, methodology, major findings, and main conclusion. It should be self-contained and should not include citations.

Authors should provide 4 to 6 keywords immediately after the abstract to support indexing and discoverability.

3. Graphical Abstract (Optional)

Authors may submit a graphical abstract that visually summarizes the main theme or findings of the paper. Where provided, it should be clear, readable, and submitted in a standard image or editable office format.

4. Introduction

The introduction should explain the background of the study, the research context, and the purpose of the work. It should clearly define the research problem, objective, or hypothesis without unnecessary repetition of known literature.

5. Materials and Methods

This section should describe the study design, materials, instruments, methods, and procedures in enough detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Sources of specialized materials or chemicals should be identified where appropriate.

For studies involving humans or animals, authors must include details of ethical approval and informed consent, where applicable.

6. Results and Discussion

Results should be presented clearly and logically using text, tables, and figures as necessary. The discussion should interpret the findings, compare them with relevant literature, and explain their significance. Authors may present Results and Discussion as separate sections or as a combined section where appropriate.

7. Conclusion

The conclusion should summarize the major outcomes of the study and emphasize their significance. It should be concise and should not merely repeat the abstract.

8. Acknowledgements

Funding support, institutional assistance, technical help, and other relevant acknowledgements should be included in this section before the references.

9. Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could influence the work. If there is no conflict of interest, authors should clearly state that no conflict exists.

10. Ethical Statements

Where applicable, manuscripts must include ethical approval statements and informed consent statements. For studies that do not involve humans or animals, authors should indicate that ethical approval and consent were not required.

11. References

MSARR follows the Vancouver referencing style. References should be cited in the text using numbers in square brackets and listed in the reference section in the same order in which they appear in the manuscript.

The reference list should not be arranged alphabetically. Authors should ensure that all references are accurate, complete, and formatted consistently.

Ethical and Publication Standards

Authors submitting to MSARR are expected to comply with accepted standards of publication ethics. Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism, fabricated data, manipulated images, and unethical research practices.

Where required, studies involving human participants or animals must have been approved by the relevant ethics committee or institutional review board. Authors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions and consents before submission.

Abbreviations, Units, Tables, and Figures

• Use standard abbreviations only
• Define non-standard abbreviations at first mention
• Use SI units throughout the manuscript
• Express temperature in °C
• Place tables and figures close to the relevant text
• Avoid unnecessary duplication of data in text, tables, and figures
• Figures should be clear and of good quality, preferably 300 dpi or higher
• Figure captions should be placed below the figure
• Color figures may be accepted without additional charge

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to MSARR undergo initial editorial assessment followed by peer review. The review process is designed to evaluate the originality, scientific quality, clarity, and relevance of the submission.

Authors are informed of the editorial decision after completion of the review process. Accepted papers proceed to final production and online publication.

Proofs and Final Publication

• Proofs may be sent to the corresponding author before final publication
• Only essential corrections should be made at the proof stage
• The final article will be published online after completion of production
• Published articles remain openly accessible to readers worldwide

Submission Requirements

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:

• The manuscript follows MSARR formatting and structural requirements
• A covering letter is included with the submission
• The author declaration form is completed and attached, where required
• All authors have approved the final version of the manuscript
• The submission complies with the journal’s ethical and editorial policies
